The Cobb
The Cobb in Lyme Regis is a a breakwater constructed to protect boats in the harbour. The earliest recorded mention of it is in 1294 and has has been rebuilt many times. the most recent in in 1817 when it was rebuilt using Portland stone. It is local to me and I have always enjoyed photographing it and it lends itself to being photographed in all seasons and all weathers.
